SiblingSync Privacy Policy

Information You Provide in the App

Depending on what you choose to enter or enable, SiblingSync may store the following locally on your device:

• Child profile details, for example child name, optional birthdate, and an avatar image you select.
• Your in-app organization choices, for example which photos belong to which child, skipped or resolved decisions, and fairness-related counts.
• Preferences and settings, for example appearance, theme settings, and lock preferences.

Photo Library Content

When you grant photo library access, SiblingSync may process:

• Photo content, including image pixels, to generate proxies and perform features like face detection.
• Photo identifiers and metadata typically available through system APIs, for example asset identifiers, capture dates, and basic image properties.

SiblingSync processes photos to provide organization features, but original photos remain managed by your photo library, not by SiblingSync.

On-Device Face Detection and Local AI Processing

• SiblingSync may perform on-device processing, including face detection, to help sort and organize photos.
• Face detection is performed locally on your device.
• SiblingSync does not upload your photos or face detection output to Maksin Technologies LLC servers.
• Processing is designed to limit unexpected biometric collection by keeping features user-initiated and local to the device.

What SiblingSync Does Not Collect

SiblingSync is designed to operate without a cloud account system. In the ordinary use of SiblingSync:

• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not run in-app advertising or tracking intended to follow you across apps and websites.
• We do not provide server-side storage for your original photos.

How and Where Data Is Stored

• Local database storage, such as SQLite, may store organization records including child profiles, photo-to-child assignments, and fairness-related stats.
• Local app storage may contain proxy or optimized images and temporary working files.
• SiblingSync does not provide cloud storage for original photos and does not maintain a server-side photo repository.

Data Sharing

Sharing initiated by you

• The app may let you export your data when you intentionally create a ZIP backup and share or save it using your device's share tools.
• The export file goes to a destination you choose, for example Files, AirDrop, email, or another app.
• The destination service or provider you choose will handle the file according to its own terms and privacy practices.

External links

If you choose to open external links from within the app, the destination website will have its own privacy practices.

Your Choices and Controls

• You can grant, limit, or revoke photo library access in your device settings.
• You can remove SiblingSync data by deleting child profiles, removing photos from a child, clearing caches where supported, or uninstalling the app.
• If you want a backup, you must explicitly create a ZIP export. SiblingSync does not automatically back up original photos for you.

Data Retention

• SiblingSync retains local data until you delete it within the app or by uninstalling the app.
• Exported ZIP files are retained by you and whatever storage provider you choose. SiblingSync does not keep a copy once exported.

Security Practices

• Local storage is protected by the security model of your operating system, such as iOS or Android.
• If you enable an app lock, for example Face ID or device biometrics, SiblingSync uses those device security features to help restrict access to the app.
• No mobile app can guarantee absolute security, but SiblingSync is designed to reduce risk by minimizing collection and keeping processing on-device.
